Addingham Middle School celebrates its 21st ( and final ) year. It is a friendly, popular and successful school for pupils aged between 10 and 13. It is located on the edge of the attractive village of Addingham, in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
The purpose built school is mainly on one level, and is set in extensive grounds which contain sports facilities, a stream and usually a few ducks. Specialist facilities include a science lab, library, rooms for technology, art, IT, and music.
Bradford Local Education Authority is reorganising education in to a two-tier system of Primary and Secondary School. Consequently, Addingham Middle School will close at the end of its 21st year, in July 2000.
We hope that friends of the school will share in our final year, and make it one to remember.
This is the policy designed and approved by Year 7 pupils on behalf of all pupils of the school. In using the school's Internet connecttion, pupils agree to the following conditions:
I will not log on without permission.
I will NEVER give out a password.
I will not give out personal information.
I will not open any e-mail unless it is addressed to me and I am sure it is safe.
I will not sign guest-books unless I am sure the site is safe.
I will not access Chatlines.
I will not try to access material containing unsuitable language or pictures.
If I access material with which I am uncomfortable, or of which I think a teacher or parent will disapprove, I will exit and report it.
I will use pupil-friendly search engines such as Ask Jeeves for Kids.
I will use the connection for school work.
I will download only with permission.
I will think before I print!
If I'm unsure about something, I will ask for help.
HAVE FUN!
This facility has been kindly provided by AMSA, with the computer provided by the generous support of pupils, parents and friends of the school using Tesco's Computers for Schools scheme.
